Created in 2007 by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL), The Pennsylvania Key implements the work and supports the policies developed and managed by OCDEL. Learn More. >Good Afternoon,
The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) is a program office that reports to both the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Department of Education (PDE). OCDEL is working with both DHS and PDE to closely monitor Executive Orders signed by President Trump, as well as numerous proposals that are being discussed in the media by the President, his staff, or members of Congress to understand the implications and impacts to our programs as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
Currently, we are reviewing all federal guidance/Executive Orders and will communicate updates and any action that may be necessary as soon as we are able. At this time, we do not anticipate changes to OCDEL services and programs.
If you have questions specific to your work and services that you would like us to consider as we conduct our review, please email those questions to: RA-dpwocdnet@pa.gov.
Thank you for your important work to help our children and families be safe, healthy, and successful in their lives – we appreciate your commitment and patience through this transition.
