Background
After receiving my master’s degree in education with a Reading Specialist certification, I taught in the Erie Public School District as a Reading Specialist for 12 years. I spent the next fourteen years working for an online education company with school districts across the US as I stayed home and raised my two children. In 2008, my husband and I moved to Venango County, where we currently reside. I eventually went to work with Early Head Start before coming to the Pennsylvania Key.
Experience
Through my 30 years of experience, I have worked with ages zero through adults in many facets of education with various positions. In 2019, I joined the PQA team as an assessor. I enjoy working with programs and teachers to help improve quality for young children. It is exciting to me to meet programs where they are and provide specialized support as I support their CQI goals. Every program is different and it’s fun for me to find creative ways to help programs.
Fun Facts
My husband and I have 2 children who are both young adults. I love Golden Retrievers and currently own my 4th Golden named Diogee. I love to be outside, riding my bike, watching our son play hockey, shopping with our daughter and spending time with my family. We enjoy the calmness of the forest and campfires in the evenings.
