Renewal Inspections for Child Care Facilities to Begin June 22, 2020

The Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) has announced annual renewal inspections for child care facilities will begin Monday, June 22, 2020. All certified child care providers in Pennsylvania are subject to an annual renewal inspection.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) announced the resumption of licensing activities on May 28, 2020, after indicating in March that DHS would not be conducting any annual renewal inspections until Governor Wolf lifted the Proclamation of Disaster Emergency for COVID-19 or until such other time set by DHS.
OCDEL Certification representatives will be contacting child care providers regarding their renewal inspection. Child care providers who have questions or concerns about the inspection process should contact their regional OCDEL office.
