Attention: Bucks and Chester County Early Childhood Education Providers
The following message is applicable only to Bucks and Chester County Early Childhood Education Providers
Per Governor Tom Wolf’s announcement, certified child care centers (3270) and group child care homes (3280) operating in a commercial building shall cease operations beginning Sunday, March 15, 2020, for a period of 14 days. This is inclusive of PA Pre-K Counts, HSSAP, Preschool Early Intervention, Private Academic Nursery Schools and locally- funded prekindergarten activities. Prior to the end of the 14-day period, the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other applicable commonwealth agencies will determine if an extension is necessary. OCDEL will continue to evaluate options and continue communicate with you as we learn more.
PLEASE NOTE: The only counties where certified child care centers (3270) and group child care homes (3280) operating in a commercial building are required to cease operations at this time are Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks and Chester Counties.
