Learn More. >The MTSS and PBIS Advanced Implementation Forum, held November 13-15, 2024, focused on integrating Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to enhance educational outcomes across all grade levels, including early childhood (0-5 years). Seven hundred and forty-nine schools and early childhood programs demonstrating fidelity in implementing PBIS were recognized by the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support (PaPBS) Network at the 2024 PaPBS All Star Recognition Celebration.
Early Childhood and Early Intervention programs were celebrated for successfully implementing PBIS across all three tiers: Universal Promotion (Tier 1), Targeted Supports (Tier 2), and Intensive Intervention (Tier 3). Luisa Olivo-Wolf, Director of the Bureau of Early Learning Policy and Professional Development, delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to all early childhood programs implementing Program-Wide PBIS. She acknowledged their commitment to forming leadership teams and establishing comprehensive, multi-tiered positive behavior supports and interventions.
Mrs. Olivo-Wolf, along with Lisa Gragg, Project Manager with Early Intervention Technical Assistance (EITA) and coordinator of the PaPBS Early Childhood State Leadership Team, presented recognition to 48 Early Childhood and Early Intervention program sites. Of these 26% achieved Initial Tier 1, 16% Sustained Tier 1, 18% Tiers 1 & 2, and 40% implemented all three tiers (Tiers 1, 2, & 3). These accomplishments are truly commendable and deserve to be celebrated!
