To notify child care facility operators and Bureau of Certification Services staff that six Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) Announcements issued in 2008 and 2009 are now obsolete.

During 2008 and 2009, OCDEL issued Announcements to reflect requirements that evolved from trends at the time of distribution. The conditions that caused the Announcements to be issued no longer exist. As a result, OCDEL determines the following Announcements are no longer applicable:

• C-08 #03, Child Care Provider Survey, issued May 19, 2008;
• C-09 #01 Temporary Child Care Facility Closure Due to Budget Impasse, issued August 21, 2009;
• C-09 #02 Procedures Regarding Notification of Temporary Child Care Facility Closure Due to Budget Impasse, issued August 24, 2009;
• C-09 #03 Centers for Disease Control Guidance Regarding Influenza for Early Childhood Programs, issued September 18, 2009;
• C-09 #05 Reporting Child Care Closings Due to Influenza, issued October 23 2009; and
• C-09 #06 Excluding and Readmitting Children and Staff with Influenza-like Illness, issued October 26, 2009.

1. All Bureau of Certification Services staff should delete copies of the obsolete
2. The Bureau of Certification Services will notify child care facility operators that these Announcements are obsolete and no longer applicable.
