The Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) offers several ways for early childhood and school-age professionals to receive professional development efforts. Professionals looking for professional development can:
- Find low cost professional development on the Professional Development (PD) Registry: Click here to log in, and go to the PD Registry to view opportunities available to you.
- Apply for scholarships and tuition assistance. Rising STARS Tuition Assistance and T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Pennsylvania Scholarships are two options. View this tipsheet to decide which one is right for you.
- Apply for a CDA voucher. The CDA Assessment Fee Voucher Program supplies direct payment for the $425 fee to the Council for Professional Recognition; this program does not reimburse individuals.
- Receive a tuition discount at Point Park University. Point Park University offers a 34% tuition discount to early care and education professionals. This discount can be used with Rising STARS Tuition Assistance. For more information, please visit Point Park University’s website.
