Background

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Millersville University. I spent time as an elementary and middle school substitute before switching lanes to work in child care. I worked with toddlers, then Pre-Kindergarten. I went on to become the lead teacher of a private Kindergarten, an experience I had for about 17 years. During that time, I also worked with school-aged children. I earned a Master's in ECE in May 2024.

Experience

I joined the PQA team at the PA Key in 2019, after spending a year as a Keystone STARS quality coach. I have worked in the field for 30 years, with a brief hiatus to explore the business sector. As an assessor, I have worked most closely with the Environment Rating Scales and have experience with the PICCOLO and the ROSIE. I am reliable on the Program Administration Scale and am certified and reliable on the Business Administration Scale.

Fun Facts

I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2 daughters. We also have 2 cats, who keep life interesting. I enjoy traveling, and especially like places that hold a bit of history (Williamsburg is quite likely my favorite vacation destination). I enjoy watching medical and legal dramas and tend to read books with those same themes.
