Share your Information in the September OCDEL Provider Survey

Did you know:
  • 1,400+ early childhood education providers shared info in the June survey
  • 1,200+ early childhood education providers shared info in the July survey
  • 1,100+ early childhood education providers shared info in the August survey
The 2019 novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had significant impacts on the child care provider community beginning in March 2020. The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) is interested in understanding the successes and challenges child care providers are experiencing as they operate during the pandemic. One strategy to collect information is a brief monthly survey on staffing and enrollment.
Thank you for your continued participation in the OCDEL Provider Survey! OCDEL has gained valuable information with each survey.
Now it’s time for the final provider survey! Your response is important and provides very valuable information to represent the child care situation in Pennsylvania.
The survey is voluntary and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Please complete the survey by Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020. Thank you for taking time to provide OCDEL with such critical information.
In October, registered users of regulated child care providers will be able to enter additional information about their location–including vacancies–using the PELICAN Provider Self-Service (PSS). The Operational Capacity, Vacancy, and Waitlist Summary page will allows providers to view and update Operational Capacity, Vacancy, and Waitlist information for the care levels served, and indicate whether they are accepting enrollments. This information will be used to share enrollment availability on www.findchildcare.pa.gov. Additionally, providers will be able to indicate if they wish to be contacted by parents/caretakers through a new email feature via www.findchildcare.pa.gov.
