Register for Webinar: Guidance for Child Care Programs that Remain Open

Register Now for the April 29, 2020, Webinar: Guidance for Child Care Programs that Remain Open

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guidance for Child Care Programs that Remain Open is the most current guidance as of April 21, 2020.
The Bureau of Certification is recommending child care providers follow the CDC guidance to the best of their ability. Certification will not cite or sanction providers not complying with the CDC guidance.
The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL), Bureau of Certification, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Key, will be offering weekly webinars on the CDC guidance for operating child care providers. The webinars will be facilitated by Amy Requa, MSN, CRNP (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) and Senior Health Manager at the Pennsylvania Key and will:
  • Clarify the practices described in the CDC Guidance
  • Emphasize how the guidance offers practices for keeping people healthy and safe
  • Answer questions that are submitted by providers
The target audience for these webinars is currently operating providers. Since registration is limited, those not currently providing services to children should wait and watch the recorded webinars to be posted on the Pennsylvania Key website .
The weekly webinars will be offered each Wednesday. Interested participants are required to register prior to each webinar. A registration link will be sent out each Monday.

OCDEL values the input of providers currently serving children and encourages child care providers currently providing services to children to submit questions prior to the webinars. OCDEL is committed to reviewing and addressing all questions to the best of their ability. Questions may be submitted prior to the webinar to hssco@pakeys.org . Questions can also be entered into the chat box during the webinars and will be addressed in future webinars.
