The Department of Human Services is recruiting for a Deputy Secretary for the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL). DHS is looking for a charismatic person with strong leadership skills who will be responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of the Commonwealth’s early childhood programs focusing on child development and early learning and family supports that foster early child development and learning. The ideal candidate will design, lead and implement Pennsylvania’s early education programs and manage a $1.86 billion budget and 233 staff and various business partner staff in planning and initiating new programs supporting infants, toddlers and their families.
