The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is creating a strategic roadmap for embedding equity, inclusion and belonging into every aspect of our work. This work includes a partnership with you. There are amazing practices happening in early childhood, libraries, K-12, community organizations, and post-secondary institutions.
PDE invites early childhood education (ECE) programs to consider submitting a promising practice describing an innovative way they are creating spaces for Equity-Inclusion-Belonging (EIB) and/or embedding EIB into the everyday work of their ECE program. (See the definitions of equity, inclusion and belonging to support EIB efforts.) There is a specific focus on those practices that influence leadership and systems change. Participation is optional and is not required.
The PDE team will review the submissions via a rubric and will accept as many practices as possible. Please know that if a submitted practice is not selected at this time, there may be other opportunities to highlight the work in upcoming events.
Submission deadline is May 31, 2022.
