I live in: Berks County
Background: My love for children goes back many years. I started in the daycare setting while I was a student in high school taking child development classes. From that point on I knew I wanted to work with children as a career. I worked as a TSS after I graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I then worked in a daycare as the lead teacher in a pre-school classroom. I obtained my emergency certificate and started to substitute in locals school including the BCIU. I was then hired and worked at BCIU as an Assistant Teacher in the Early Intervention program. While I was an assistant teacher I kept thinking, if only I could start working with children at a younger age I could make a difference sooner. That is when I found WeeTalk. I worked 11 years with infants and toddlers as a mobile therapist for the Early Intervention program as a Special Instructor. I have taken many courses, trainings, and certificate programs which include Home Based Coaching, Autism, Challenging Behaviors, Developmental Milestones and Infant Mental Health.
Experience in IECMH: I recently obtained my endorsement as an Infant Family Specialist which has led me to join the IECMHC team.
Something personal/fun fact: I am a wife and mother of three children who keep me on my toes and constantly moving. I enjoy CrossFit workouts which help clear my mind and also help maintain the energy level of my children. I love the summer and fall seasons and thoroughly enjoy going on shopping sprees!

I live in: Berks County
Background: I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bloomsburg University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern University. During my time in graduate school I also focused on a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Experience in IECMH: I have about 15 years of experience in the mental health and social service field. I began working in settings where I learned about ABA and its application with children. I loved being a part of a child’s progress towards social-emotional growth, but I also noticed that growth would not have been possible without family engagement. So, I decided to focus on my capacity to build relationships with adults and obtain more clinical training. When I learned about IECMHC, I was very intrigued and excited to merge my skills in this area. I am also interested in developing my knowledge and skills in the field of equity work within IECMHC.
Something personal/fun fact: I am fluently bilingual (Spanish & English) and of Hispanic descent. I have a younger brother who has Autism and IDD. I live with my husband, teenage son and two dogs. My favorite place to eat is at The Pike Café in Reading, PA.

I am endorsed as an Infant-Family Specialist through PA-AIMH, am a Shanker Self-Reg® Champion, and am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work.
Experience in IECMH: I came to IECMH accidentally! In the beginning I wanted to learn how to provide expert advice to caregivers. However, my path led me to the conclusion that the full potential of knowledge of child development and learning can only be fully realized in partnership with the actual experts on an individual child, you! Over the past decade plus I have invested this mindset in support of children, families, providers, stakeholders, and systems in early intervention, child care, training and quality improvement, and with expectant parents. I joined the IECMHC team at the PA Key in 2019.
Something personal/fun fact: I live in NEPA with my husband and our two young sons. I am originally from New Jersey and routinely miss the pizza, bagels, and day tripping to the beach, but am cultivating a new love for perogies, kielbasa, and the relative lack of traffic.

What began as a love for the “older” elementary aged children who I could teach content knowledge to quickly turned into a passion for the “little ones” when I took a job as a toddler teacher so my young son could come to work with me. That joy and awe developing relationships and playing with those little ones spread to many years as a toddler teacher while earning advanced degrees and eventually becoming a Childcare Center Director. I happened to be in the right place at the right time to learn about IECMH and knew right then it was the job for me so I could combine all my passions for assisting children, families, and staff from many different locations into one role.
