Learn More. >On February 12, 2025, the Council for Professional Recognition held an informational session for those interested in becoming a Professional Development (PD) Specialist™. PD Specialists use ECE expertise to assess CDA candidates’ competencies and facilitate reflective conversations with the candidates.
If you enjoy mentoring, coaching, meeting new people and observing educational environments, becoming a Professional Development (PD) Specialist™ may be for you. The Council encourages all qualified individuals to consider this important role, because the integrity of the CDA assessment system rests, in large part, on our PD Specialists.
