| Description: | Penn State Cooperative Extension Better Kid Care program in collaboration with Clarion University are offering a one-day conference for family, group, and center child care providers. Participants will be offered several concurrent sessions that will address all Knowledge Areas of the Core Body of Knowledge and Professional Development Record (CBK/PDR). There will be workshops discussing child development, diversity issues, child observation, health issues, professionalism in child care, etc. FREE lead wipe screening kits from GET THE LEAD OUT! Lead Poisoning Prevention in Young Children project will be available for eligible providers. |

Parents, foster parents, teachers and other service providers are welcome. Penn State is an Act 48 approved provider. Professional educators are encouraged to confirm that this program fits their school district's professional development plan for Act 48. Earn 7 hours toward fulfilling Act 48 requirements by attending this entire program.Continuing Education Units (CEU's) are available upon request. Breakfast and lunch buffet will be included. |
