Questions about the new Child Care Certification Regulations?
The Bureau of Certification Services maintains a Web site where the latest news, documents to help facilities understand changes to the regulations, as well as important information and resources needed to comply with these new regulations may be accessed online at the following address: http://www.dhs.state.pa.us/forchildren/childcareearlylearning/index.htm
One of the most frequently asked questions is about the Child Services Report form. The Bureau of Certification issued an announcement relating to the child service report; it is available on the DPW Web site listed above. Click on “C-08 #06 Approved Child Service Report” form. Open the announcement and refer to the section regarding the acceptable forms that may be used to meet this requirement: see "A. Approved Forms" under the "Discussion" heading.

From August through October, staff from the Office of Child Development and Early Learning conducted information sessions for child care providers to discuss the regulation amendments. At each of the sessions, OCDEL staff recorded questions from providers. We gathered those questions and additional questions received from other sources into this document. Please note that this document should be read in conjunction with the regulations and is not a substitute for reading the regulations.
